The Baby Hates McDonalds!!

I had a very busy lunchbreak. Lots of errands to run, and I knew I wasn’t going to have time to get lunch at home like I usually do. I went through the McD’s drive thru for a value meal. Is it really a value if it makes you sick as a dog? I can’t recall the last time that I ate McD’s. Before starting this life change, I bet I did something similar about 3-5 times a week. Well, the baby definitely didn’t appreciate my lunchtime choice. I feel horrible now!! Tummy is hurting and I feel fat and bloated! I cannot believe I let something like a busy errand filled lunch break be my excuse to do something so stupid! If I EVER think that this is an ok decision, even occassionally, someone please just slap some sense into me!! Not literally, please! ;)

When I was pregnant, my baby liked McD’s fries. LOL!! I am not a fry eater. He didn’t like spaghetti. Isn’t it funny what our bodies like and don’t like when pregnant. Maybe he’s your little accountability detector. LOL!!!

BeeBee…..Don’t be so hard on yourself. Times like this happen and at least now you know you can’t have McD’s. I wish I had this problem but I love and will always love my Burger King meal #9. I hope you feel better soon!

I know. I hate McDonalds. I had to eat it on Saturday due to children and I had the grilled chicken sandwich and even that was just nasty. I was sick all day sunday, dont know if it was that or a virus…but UGH

    *SLAP* Sorry, couldn’t resist. LOL

Looks like you’ve already gotten baby trained on this healthy eating path. Didn’t like your choice one bit, so he/she is letting you know about it.

Alway, ALWAYS keep snacks on hand for just such a time. I usually keep a little lunchbox in my vehicle at all times that I call my emergency energy pack and it keeps me out of those drive through fast food clog your artery energy sucking places. Those little snack baggies are wonderful. I usually keep one of those with some dietetic trail mix. This will stave off the hunger and give me an energy boost and it has loads of protein. I keep another snack baggy with chopped up fruit of my choice… apple, grapes… strawberries… whatever. It stays cool with an ice pack. I take it in to work for afternoon snacking at my desk, but if I have to run errands or will be out of the office, I grab it and it goes with me in the vehicle.

    Please don’t do McDummies again dearie… :)

    Hugggggggggggggggs,
    Shan

Oh man, I am with you. The same thing happen with me several weeks ago, but it was with a chicken sandwich at SONIC…baby hated that! Isn’t it funny how pregnancy changes things?

I know how you feel. I remember having to have my mom pull over after we had McDonalds and I got sick all over the side of the road after that just the smell of French Fries made me sick. But now I love fries. Milk ,okay lets get real everything made me sick but yet I still managed to gain 100 pounds with my first daughter. I even puked(SP) while I was having her. Good luck I wont say it gets better cause I didn’t get better till after I had the girls!! Good luck. How long do you have left??

You poor thing, I’m so sorry you were sick. Gosh I wish I hated McDonalds…on the contrary…I LOVE IT!!! why do we love the things that arn’t healthy????
I hope you are feeling better tonight and Shanna has good advice. I bring the little snack baggies with me on my trip to my daughters now. Its a 45 drive and I pass every restaurant you can imagine on the way. Right now I have some pretzels just waiting when I’m tempted!! Take care!

Well, I’m really happy that McD’s made you sick. I know what you’re thinking, and I know it sounds wrong, but hear me out. To me, the fact that your body can’t take McD’s, means that your body has become a healthier living, breathing machine. You have conditioned it to appreciate the finer things in life and this speaks volumes of your devotion to self. I wish more of us would be quick to recognize the invaluable benefits of a healthy lifestyle change. And in this case…baby knows best!

Unfortunately my baby love Big Macs! Lol, don’t beat yourself up, life is about trial and error, and you learned from it!

Get the grilled chkn wrap next time, it is cheaper and good, just leave off the cheese and the sauce so just lettuce ckn, and the wrap! healthy that a way, and tolerable! Hope you are doing better now! Angie
