Nightwear

I was thinking about this today, and since I’m the nosey kind of person, I thought I would ask. Feel free to not respond if you don’t want, but I’m curious. My hubby accused me last night of getting shy about being nekkie around him now that I’m prego. I have always kind of felt that the man I love loves me the way I am, and I have nothing to hide. I told him that I am NOT being shy. I’m way moody lately, and probably not responding to his playfulness like he would like, but it isn’t due to being shy.

I have always slept in the buff. My ex-hub never appreciated this much, but that is his issues not mine. My Mom has always slept in a nightgown. Doesn’t matter to her how long they have been married, she is still very shy even in private. I just think it is interesting on peoples choice of night clothing. Anyone game to share what they sleep in and why??

For me it depends on my mood. Some day’s I go buff and others I put clothes on from head to toe. It’s all about MY mood!!!

Ok, I might have mislead ya all. I don’t sleep in the buff. I do wear socks to bed from about October until April! :P I get cold feet!

My husband loves my sexy attire - sweatpants and t-shirts all the way. Oh, summer might mean cut off sweats and a tank top instead! It’s just comfortable and I often have to chase a dog around early in the morning. Since several of my neighbors are police officers, I don’t think running around in the buff would go over well! lol

I go buff. My reason is silly in way. I don’t like the feeling of movement restriction likes sleeves make me feel. And I don’t like feeling the crinkles of the shirt that fold around me. Didn’t always used to be this way but started feeling like that around my 20’s.

I just can’t do it….when I sleep in the buff I have dreams about showing up to work nekkid. LOL I am all about the pj pants and a tank top.

i have lots of options. Sometimes I sleep naked, especially, if my husband and I have been fooling around in bed. But, even then, I usually wake up cold in the middle of the night. I LOVE wearing my husbands flannel pajama pants cause they are so big! I also wear t-shirts and underwear, or little nightgowns.
man, that was a long answer!

Interesting question, for inquiring minds!! LOL!
Depends on the mood for me too! Sometimes it is sweats and t-shirt(my comfies)I sometimes put them on almost as soon as soon as I get home from work if not going anywhere(then I can lose the bra), depending on the mood I do wear sexy, but usually they are too cold this time of year, and I end up with putting sweats back on before the night is over! I am not shy with my hubby but don’t feel comfortable sleeping in the nude, probably from the old days when my kids were little and they had the habit of climbing in bed with us.
    Have a good one!

My daughter sleeps in my bed so I usually wear T-shirt and pj shorts. Or on a good day I wear pretty pjs. I love the way pretty pjs make you feel. Even before kids I never slept in the nude. I was always afraid if there was a fire and I had to run out in the middle of the night. My neighbors would see way too much!! :0)

I usually wear pjs although sometimes a tshirt or whatever is handy. Lately I have also occasionally woken up without a shirt on… I’m guessing hotflash. LOL Ellen

I wear nightgowns or sleep pants and old shirt. I hate sleeping naked. It’s not because of being shy but because of my son and what happens if there is a fire. I don’t want fireman to see me naked. LOL!!!

I always wore slinky, silky nightgowns all 49 years of my marriage. Now I wear ruffled, lace trimmed, beribboned cotton gowns. I call them my granny gowns. Marge

Sexy negligee with nothing else. My hubby wouldn’t have it any other way. Forget that I freeze my tush off lol He says he is there to warm me up lol. I went to bed one night in flannel pjs and haven’t seen them since! only slinky silky nightgowns

Wonderwoman I am with you. I hate how clothing can be so restrictive if you roll around. I don’t like sleeping in the buff much either. I wear fitting undergarments that wont move. My man, he cant stand clothes. LOL. That doesn’t work for me.

Usually, depends on my mood. I love big, roomy nite shirts the best. I just can’t bring myself to go buff, my mom was always saying “what if you had a fire in the house nad had to get out quick?” LOL, guess it stayed with me :)

Nakkid as a jay bird!!! I agree with WW I hate the restrictiveness of clothes in bed…yuk. Not to worry I keep my jammies under my pillow for those pesky what if’s!!!

    What a fun post!

I sleep in whatever pj/nightgown I have available. They aren’t usually too sexy. I admire you women who keep the marriage bed hot by sleeping nakey or in sexy nighties. I really ought to try and spiff up my night wear. Naked is not an option for me because my kids don’t seem to grasp the concept of knocking before entering our room!

    Great post!

I agree, what a great post!! For me, it depends on what mood I am in…but living in Southern California…sleeping in the buff is not a good idea, one would think that with the heat, it would be best to go buff, but just think EARTHQUAKES!! I don’t want my neighbors to see too much of me if we happen to have one of those in the middle of the night–LOL!

Wow… I never thought anyone really slept in the nude. I tried it a couple of times and hated it. I also don’t like long nightgowns as they wrap all around you and you end up stuck like a mummy. But I just need to have my shoulders covered, so no tank tops for me. And I need to have at least short pants so that my thighs don’t become sweaty when they touch each other. So it’s pjs for me, or better yet, old torn and worn down sweatpants and sweatshirts. I save the night time for sleeping…
